Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 2+ years of healthcare scheduling experience OR 1 year in UKHS patient scheduling.
• Proficient in navigating EPIC EMR including MyChart messaging and Beacon Scheduling Orders.

Responsibilities

• Responds to a high-volume of incoming calls and schedules/cancels patient visits including telehealth and treatments.
• Registers patients, verifies insurance, and processes referrals and appointment requests.
• Manages scheduling workload from the appointment request queue with attention to provider needs.
• Trains new staff on department workflows and scheduling protocols.
• Coordinates referrals and medical records with external offices using Beacon and EPIC modules.
• Maintains patient relationships and supports front desk and MyChart workflows.
