Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a Patient Service Specialist - Cardiology in Akron. The role focuses on patient check-in, co-pay collection, and visit preparation to ensure a smooth patient flow from arrival to checkout.

You'll work with physicians to support scheduling, enrollment in MyChart, and interpreter services when needed. The position is dayshift, 8:30am-5:00pm, contributing to the hospital's patient-centered care and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 2 years of experience in patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance processing or customer service
• Associate's Degree with 1 year of experience or a Bachelor's degree may also meet minimum qualifications
• Working knowledge of PC window applications
• Ability to perform basic math sufficient to process insurance co-pays

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in patients, collect co-pays and complete visit preparations
• Assist with kiosk usage and support scheduling, pre-registration and MyChart enrollment
• Partner with physicians to ensure a smooth checkout process
• Register patients, perform visit preparation, telephone triage, and insurance verification
• Enter and maintain confidential patient information
• Educate patients on MyChart and Appointment Pass
