Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and advanced practice providers. You will assist with patient flow, room preparation, vital signs, and documentation in the EHR.

The role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate in English, and work across satellite locations as needed. Responsibilities include scheduling, charting, assisting with procedures, and providing scribing services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.
• Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed.
• Travel to satellite locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and escorts patient into the room.
• Cleans examination room after the exam.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and proper preparation for visits.
• Documents vitals and patient information in EHR.
• Assists with prescriptions and refill procedures when appropriate.
• Orders and schedules appointments in PMS and EHR.
• Provides referrals and consult orders in PMS/EHR.
• Provides scribing services.
