Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant in CT to support physicians, PAs, and NPs with patient flow, room preparation and clerical tasks. You will assist with vital signs, specimen handling, and EHR documentation to ensure smooth visits.

Responsibilities include maintaining exam rooms, scheduling, coordinating referrals, and upholding safety and infection control practices across satellite offices. Strong English communication and computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.
• Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and escorts patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and ensures proper preparation for visits.
• Documents vital signs and relevant data in the EHR.
• Reviews and updates medication lists and allergies in EHR.
• Assists with scheduling, referrals, and order entry in PMS and EHR.
• Provides patient education and safety precautions as appropriate.
