Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and advanced practice providers across patient care, clerical duties, and procedures. The role emphasizes room setup, patient flow, vital sign capture, and accurate documentation in the EHR.

You will handle calls, appointment scheduling, supply management, and ensure safety procedures while supporting diverse patient needs and care coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant program required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• BLS certification or within 30 days of hire required.
• English communication (oral and written) required.
• Ability to multitask and organize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and aids in patient flow.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and prepares information for visits.
• Documents vitals and allergies in EHR accurately.
• Schedules appointments per department guidelines.
• Stocks examination rooms and assists with supplies.
• Performs scrubbing and scribing as needed.
• Transitional care facilitation to UCC/Hospital.
