Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and PAs in patient care, clerical tasks and room management. The role emphasizes accurate documentation in EHR, scheduling in the PMS, and ensuring smooth patient flow across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate will have a medical assisting program, a high school diploma, and BLS certification, with 0–1 year experience and strong English communication skills to serve diverse patient needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days of hire.
• English communication skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room, escorts patient, and maintains room cleanliness.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and accurate information for visits.
• Enters orders and schedules appointments in PMS and EHR.
• Provides referrals and/or consult orders in PMS and EHR.
• Provides scribing services and adheres to safety precautions.
