Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program is required.
• BLS certification or within 30 days of hire is required.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination room and escort patient in; maintain room cleanliness.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and readiness for visits.
• Prepare information required for patient visits and document in EHR.
• Take vitals and accurately document allergies and medications in EHR.
• Schedule appointments per guidelines and manage communications with patients.
• Provide scribing services.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

English language proficiency
