Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, or NPs with patient care and clerical duties. You will manage room prep, patient flow, vital signs, EHR documentation, and scheduling, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited Medical Assistant program, a high school diploma or GED, and strong English communication skills. Office hours in CT satellite clinics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• BLS certification is preferred.
• English communication skills required.
• Ability to multitask and perform multiple tasks efficiently.
• Basic proficiency in computer use required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room and escorts the patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and prepares for visits.
• Documents vital signs and updates the EHR accurately.
• Schedules appointments according to departmental guidelines.
• Assists in ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
• Provides scribing services and supports care transitions.
