Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL is seeking a Medical Receptionist to handle front-desk responsibilities, patient check-in, and Epic-based workflows. You will welcome visitors, manage mail and supplies, and support billing and EMR tasks with a focus on accuracy and courtesy.

Responsibilities include scheduling, insurance verification, MyChart support, and assisting phlebotomy when needed. The role requires strong customer service and flexible hours in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous medical reception experience required.
• Internal Receptionist 2 candidates must have 2+ years in Receptionist 1 or cross-trained in 3+ clinics/locations.
• Able to work flexible hours and assist in new partner orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Answers incoming calls, routes calls, and forwards messages.
• Registers patients in Epic and updates demographics and insurance.
• Collects co-pays and posts payments in Epic per policy.
• Monitors lobby, assists visitors, and maintains supplies.
• Assists MyChart enrollment and responds to messages.
• May assist phlebotomy duties and perform other clerical tasks.
