Job summary

CardioOne is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors at our Hinsdale, IL cardiology practice. You will manage appointments, verify insurance, and maintain accurate records while delivering exceptional customer service.

Ideal candidates have healthcare receptionist experience, familiarity with EHR systems, and strong communication skills to ensure a smooth patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical office certification is a plus.
• Experience as a receptionist or in a healthcare customer service role.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Athena experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front desk operations of the cardiology practice.
• Greet patients and visitors as they arrive.
• Verify patient information and insurance details.
• Manage the appointment calendar using scheduling software.
• Coordinate appointments for new and returning patients and reschedule or cancel as needed.
• Answer calls and respond to emails professionally.
• Address patient inquiries and assist with prescription refills.
• Enter patient information and appointments into the EHR system.
• Work with medical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Maintain waiting area and monitor patient flow to communicate delays.
