Insight Hospital and Medical Center- Chicago is seeking a proactive Front Desk Associate for the cardiology clinic. You will welcome patients, collect data, verify insurance, and enter information into Cerner and STAR systems to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will schedule appointments, manage calendars, and provide appointment prep details. The role requires strong customer service, communication, and teamwork in a confidential healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Two or more years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
• Experience with electronic documentation and retrieval of patient information preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and verify information and insurance details.
• Enter data into the electronic health record system (Cerner) and create encounters in STAR.
• Schedule patient appointments for diagnostic exams and follow-ups.
• Manage appointment calendars to optimize physician and clinic efficiency.
• Coordinate rescheduling and cancellations as needed.
• Verify insurance prior to the appointment.
• Answer incoming patient calls promptly and professionally.
• Provide information regarding clinic services, appointment times and prep instructions.
• Relay patient messages to physicians and medical assistants using EMR messaging.
• Support daily clinic operations with clerical tasks.
• Assist in ensuring billing encounter forms are accurate and complete.
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities and meetings.
