Job summary

IMS Care Center, headquartered in Phoenix, seeks a detailed Charge Entry Clerk for its Cardiology clinic. You will code and bill for physician practices, review records for accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes, and enter all charges and adjustments into the electronic health record in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience providing coding services across clinical specialties.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
• Experience with medical record abstraction and coding software.
• Ability to navigate electronic health records and billing systems.
• Must stay current with coding changes and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes.
• Post charges and payments to patient accounts per pay classification.
• Communicate with providers to clarify missing or inadequate information.
• Analyze encounter forms for accuracy prior to charge entry.
• Generate daily and monthly reports and maintain productivity goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
