Job summary

Physicians East, P.A. is seeking a detail-oriented billing specialist to handle charge entry and post diagnostic charges for assigned specialty areas, ensuring accurate coding in ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines. The role requires communication with physicians and insurance staff to resolve coding issues in a fast-paced office.

This full-time position is based at our Greenville Arlington Blvd. location, typically Monday–Friday, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience with ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS.
• RHIT eligibility or CCS/CCS-P/CPC certification with relevant education.

Responsibilities

• Charge entry for assigned specialty and subspecialty.
• Post diagnostic charges for assigned specialties.
• Research missing ticket reports.
• Maintain knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT guidelines and carrier updates.
• Communicate with physicians, insurance staff, and related departments on coding issues.
• Research and correct denials related to coding issues.
• Attend departmental trainings and meetings as directed by supervisor.
