Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Medical Assistant Supervisor (FGP) to oversee daily clinic operations in Manhattan, supporting physicians, nurses, and staff. The role focuses on improving patient care delivery and staff supervision across MA/PCA teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, a recognized MA program or national certification, and at least 2 years of MA experience with EKG and phlebotomy. A strong leadship mindset and knowledge of insurance eligibility rules are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MA program or certification as above.
• Minimum 2 years’ Medical Assistant experience with EKG and phlebotomy.
• Progressive leadership potential and knowledge of medical insurance eligibility rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversees MA staff and patient care activities of a Faculty Group Practice site.
• Resolves employee issues; manages attendance and timekeeping for direct reports.
• Plans, coordinates, and schedules MA activities; serves as back-up for MA roles.
• Liaises between clinical staff and physicians to ensure effective patient care and service.
• Ensures suites are staffed to avoid provider delays; maintains patient flow and infection control.
