Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or MA certification.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Proficiency in EKG, phlebotomy/venipuncture.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop MA/PCA staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Medical Assistant staff and patient care activities.
• Plans, coordinates and schedules MA activities; acts as back-up MA as needed.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, regulatory standards and QA initiatives.
• Trains MA/PCA staff and develops cross-training for coverage.
• Optimizes patient flow and collaboration with physicians and nurses.
