Job summary

NYU Langone Health Faculty Group Practice in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant Supervisor (FGP) to oversee MA/PCA staff and daily clinic operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.

The role partners with physicians and nurses, coordinates staffing, training, and performance evaluations, and supports patient access and experience while advancing clinical quality initiatives within the FGP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with Medical Assistant program certification or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant
• Proficiency in EKG and phlebotomy/venipuncture
• Progressive leadership and ability to coach staff
• Knowledge of medical insurance eligibility and authorization rules

Responsibilities

• Oversee MA staff and patient care activities at a Faculty Group Practice site
• Handle attendance, scheduling, payroll for direct reports
• Train MA/PCA staff and ensure cross-training and coverage
• Coordinate with physicians and nurses to plan patient care
• Enforce HIPAA, compliance, and policy adherence
• Improve patient flow and access to services
• Support quality initiatives and QA/QI activities
