Job summary

Beacon Health System seeks a skilled cardiac ultrasound technologist to perform transthoracic and transesophageal echo studies across Neonatal to Geriatric patients. You will prepare patients, acquire high-quality images, and document findings to support cardiology interpretation.

The role requires RDCS/CCI credentialing, working in a dynamic Echo Lab, and collaboration with physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care. Flexibility to cover varying shift schedules is expected.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac ultrasound equipment and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of pediatric and adult cardiology anatomy and echocardiography operations.
• Ability to analyze and quantify cardiac ultrasound studies.
• Good decision making to evaluate patient status and scheduling needs.
• Interpersonal skills for effective communication with physicians, team members, and patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for echo testing and obtain accurate imaging.
• Perform 2-D, 3-D, M-Mode and color Doppler studies and record results.
• Provide preliminary findings and assist cardiologist with interpretation.
• Coordinate scheduling of Echo laboratory testing and reflect knowledge of cardiology requirements.
• Maintain equipment, supply levels, and a clean, safe Echo Lab environment.
• Assist with clerical duties and participate in in-service programs within Cardiology.
