Responsibilities

• Admit and discharge patients from the cardiac monitoring system.
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry for assigned patients.
• Communicate rhythm changes to nursing staff promptly and accurately.
• Print and interpret cardiac rhythm strips per policy.
• Forward rhythm strips to Unit Secretary for filing.
• Manage telemetry equipment and alarm settings per policy.
• Apply critical thinking to monitor patients and identify rhythm abnormalities.
• Enter billing information for telemetry services and patient charges accurately.
• Maintain compliance with organizational monitoring standards.
