Job summary

Qualifications

• ECG/EKG interpretation coursework required.
• Monitor Technician extern program completion preferred or required.
• BLS Certification required (AHA).
• Certification in ECG/EKG competency is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify arrhythmias and deviations from baseline.
• Activate emergency or rapid response for lethal arrhythmias or cardiac arrest.
• Record patient telemetry readings and maintain accurate logs.
• Identify rhythm changes and notify nursing staff.
• Update patient records with ECG monitoring data.
• Monitor complex cardiac monitoring systems and dysrhythmia detection.
