Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Monitor Technician to oversee Central Station Telemetry across mixed acuity and critical care units. You will alert nursing staff to arrhythmias and vital sign changes, maintaining precise monitoring records and handling telemetry equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Basic Life Support certification, and the ability to operate EMR and Office software. Prior hospital patient care experience is preferred and patient confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) accreditation required.
• Previous hospital patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients on Central Station Telemetry in Mixed Acuity and/or Critical Care Units.
• Report cardiac and/or vital sign changes to nursing staff and escalate as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of telemetry strips and communications; perform EKGs when needed.
