Job summary

Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Monitor Tech to perform continuous ECG monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and documentation. You will collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety and timely escalation when rhythms change.

Requires ECG competency and a high school diploma; BLS is preferred. On-site role with opportunities to grow within Orlando Health's telemetry services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ECG competency assessment required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and reviews patient information to determine baseline cardiac rhythm.
• Demonstrates competency in telemetry lead placement for accurate rhythm analysis.
• Analyzes cardiac rhythm and records measurements and interpretations per protocol.
• Notifies RN of rhythm changes and escalates as needed.
• Maintains central monitoring station technical operations and alarm settings.
• Performs shift reports and coordinates telemetry initiation/ discontinuation.
