Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to assist the intraoperative team. You will contribute to maintaining sterile technique and prepare instruments, supplies, and room setup for surgical procedures, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key responsibilities include assisting with gowning, gloving, draping, and instrument counts; supporting the preop, intraop, and postop workflow; and serving as a respected preceptor to other team members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with completion of a surgical technician program.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and maintaining sterile fields.
• Ability to work as part of an intraoperative team and support patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with gowning and gloving for the surgical team and maintain sterile field.
• Prepare OR equipment, instruments and supplies required for procedures.
• Provide thorough handoffs and reports to relief personnel to ensure smooth transitions.
