Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Richmond, VA is seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) for a full-time daytime role at St. Mary’s Hospital. The sonographer will perform diagnostic, non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams using ultrasound, including TTE, TEE and stress testing.

Candidates should have an associate degree in cardiovascular technology or related field, BLS, and RDCS or RCS credential. At least one year of experience is preferred; on-call hours are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in cardiovascular technology or related field (preferred).
• BLS certification required.
• RDCS or RCS credentialing by ARDMS/CCI required.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography examinations including TTE, TEE and stress tests.
• Conduct non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy, procedures, and interpretation.
• Prepare and monitor patients before and during procedures.
• Review patient information in the EHR and document findings.
• On-call hours required.
