Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health Fairfield Hospital is seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic, non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams using ultrasound equipment. The role covers Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing, with on-call hours required.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in cardiovascular technology and is BLS certified, with ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology or ultrasonography.
• Certified in echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound equipment to evaluate the heart during transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress testing.
• Demonstrates ability to proficiently perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Utilizes the hospital EMR to review patient information and document findings.
• On-call hours required.
