Job summary

Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA, seeks a Cardiac Sonographer Registered to perform diagnostic echocardiography using TTE, TEE, and stress testing. On-call hours are required.

The role requires an associate degree in cardiovascular technology and BLS certification, with RDCS or RCS credentials preferred. EPIC EHR and PACS experience are a plus, and you’ll join a compassionate, patient-centered team at a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or related field.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.
• RDCS or RCS credential (ARDMS/CCI) is required/ preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience as Cardiac Sonographer (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound for heart evaluation.
• Proficiently performs non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy, procedures and results interpretation.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Uses the EMR to review patient information and document findings.
• On-call hours required.
