Job summary

Banner Health seeks a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join the General PCU, a 60-bed Cardiac Progressive Care Unit in Phoenix. The role emphasizes routine patient care, data collection, and documentation to support the patient plan of care.

Night shift is three 12-hour shifts per week (7pm–7:30am) with rotating weekends/holidays and shift differentials. Magnet-recognized care environment with strong teamwork and patient focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current CNA certification in state of practice required for new hires and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the patient plan of care.
• Collect patient data including vital signs and other measurements.
• Report abnormalities to a licensed professional.
• Perform procedures as delegated (blood draws, catheter removal, EKGs) under supervision.
• Support unit operations and documentation in electronic medical record.
• Maintain patient records and supply levels.
• Assist with patient transport and OR room turnover as assigned.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with focus on customer service.
