Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Surgical PCU Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care to cardiac and post-operative patients. You will assess, plan and document care within the nursing process, collaborating with physicians, therapists and support staff.

This day shift opening offers 3 shifts per week from 7am to 7:30pm, with rotating weekends and holidays, plus an 18% night differential and $3/hour weekend differential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental needs and discharge planning.
• Formulate and revise plans of care with realistic, measurable goals.
• Implement plan with coordination and supervision of the health care team.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care as needed.
• Document assessment, planning and evaluation in the patient record.
• Promote evidence-based practice and participate in unit leadership and mentoring.
