Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Pacemaker Technician to specialize in implantation and post-implant management at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. You will prepare patients, assist during procedures, program devices, and monitor post-implant outcomes.

Ideal candidates have a Pacemaker Technician training or equivalent, 1–2 years of experience, and strong attention to detail and communication skills with patients and staff. This is an onsite, per-diem role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Pacemaker Technician training program or equivalent work experience.
• 1-2 years of pacemaker-related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the heart and cardiovascular system.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for pacemaker implantation by explaining the procedure and answering questions.
• Assist the physician during the pacemaker implantation procedure.
• Program the pacemaker and adjust its settings as needed.
• Monitor patients after implantation for proper device function and complications.
• Educate patients on care and maintenance of pacemakers.
• Troubleshoot and repair pacemakers as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of each implantation and management.
