Mass General Brigham is seeking a Per Diem Pacemaker Technician to perform implantation support, programming, and post-procedure monitoring at 2014 Washington Street, Newton-Wellesley Hospital. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma (or equivalent), is ACLS/BLS certified, and has completed a Pacemaker Technician training program or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• ACLS (AHA) preferred.
• BLS Certification.
• Completion of a Pacemaker Technician training program or equivalent work experience. 1-2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for pacemaker implantation by explaining the procedure and answering any questions they may have.
• Assist the physician during the pacemaker implantation procedure.
• Program the pacemaker and adjusting its settings as needed.
• Monitor patients after pacemaker implantation to ensure that the device is functioning properly and that the patient is not experiencing any complications.
• Educate patients on the proper care and maintenance of their pacemakers.
• Troubleshoot and repair pacemakers as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of each patient’s pacemaker implantation and management.
