Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of a Pacemaker Technician training program or equivalent work experience. 1-2 years required.
• ACLS (AHA) preferred; BLS Certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the heart and cardiovascular system.

Responsibilities

• Specialize in implantation and management of pacemakers.
• Prepare patients for pacemaker implantation; explain the procedure and answer questions.
• Assist the physician during the pacemaker implantation procedure.
• Program the pacemaker and adjust settings as needed.
• Monitor patients after implantation and ensure device functions properly.
• Educate patients on care and maintenance of pacemakers.
• Troubleshoot and repair pacemakers as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of each implantation and management.
