Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a capable cardiac technician to support pacemaker and electrophysiology testing. The role involves preparing patients, performing EKGs, and assisting with procedures under physician supervision.

Strong data interpretation and device interrogation proficiency are required. Applicants should have four years of cardiac testing experience, BLS certification, and familiarity with the MUSE CVIS system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or certificate.
• Minimum of four years progressively responsible experience in cardiac testing.
• Demonstrated proficiency in pacemaker telemetry, cardiac monitor analysis and pacemaker interrogation (campus dependent).
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with medical terminology and data documentation.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and review patient history before testing and explain procedures.
• Perform EKGs and operate the MUSE cardiovascular information system.
• Conduct Exercise Tolerance Testing (ETT) under physician direction.
• Assist clinicians during implantable loop procedures.
• Perform pacer interrogation and analyze device thresholds as ordered.
