Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Boston area seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Cardiology/Pacemaker-ICD Clinic. The RN will perform device checks, monitor transmissions, and coordinate follow-up care with cardiologists and other health professionals.

Requires RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and IT/computer skills for hospital software. This is an onsite role with patient-centered care emphasis in a specialized cardiac setting.

Qualifications

• RN license required; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications often required for specialties.
• Experience in OR/circulation and scrub roles.
• Proficiency with hospital software and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Perform and/or assist with in-clinic device checks and interrogations.
• Monitor remote device transmissions and escalate abnormal findings as appropriate.
• Assess patients for symptoms, arrhythmias, and potential device-related complications.
• Provide patient and family education regarding device care, remote monitoring, activity, and symptoms requiring medical attention.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, device representatives, and other healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate follow-up care and communicate device-related information across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Document device evaluations, clinical findings, interventions, and follow-up plans accurately and timely.
• Support the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care within the hospital’s Cardiology/Pacemaker-ICD Clinic.
