UNC Health is offering a 10‑week, paid Student Nurse Externship on the 7HV – Cardiac Medicine Intermediate Care Unit in Raleigh, NC. The program focuses on hands-on clinical experience for rising senior ADN and BSN nursing students, helping you develop confidence, clinical judgment, and transition toward professional practice.

The role is a temporary full-time externship with daily clinical activities, patient care responsibilities, and collaborative learning with RN partners.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited prelicensure nursing program with anticipated graduation within 12 months.
• Nursing Assistant I listed and BLS certification required.

Aufgaben

• Observe, collect, and document patient information; report significant changes to RN.
• Assist with admission, orientation, and discharge procedures.
• Provide direct patient care per the plan of care and perform routine tasks.
• Assist with medication and equipment handling as directed by RN.
• Support learning experiences under RN supervision on the designated unit.
