Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Registered at St. Charles Hospital to perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography as well as stress testing to evaluate cardiac function. You will document findings in EPIC EHR and collaborate with care teams on patient management.

Required are an associate degree in cardiovascular technology (preferred), BLS, and credentialing such as RDCS or RCS when available. On-call hours are required; 36 hours per week, day shift.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in cardiovascular technology or related field preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• RDCS or RCS credentialing from ARDMS/CCI preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography exams (TTE/TEE) and stress testing.
• Evaluate heart function and document findings in EHR.
• Prepare patients and monitor during procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy and procedures.
• On-call hours required.
