Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Registered to perform diagnostic echocardiography and related cardiac exams at St. Francis Downtown. The role involves TTE, TEE and stress testing, with patient preparation and chart documentation. On-call duties are required.

The candidate should have an associate degree in cardiovascular technology or ultrasonography (preferred), BLS certification, and RDCS or RCS credentials. EPIC EHR and PACS experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology or ultrasonography (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association required.
• Credentialed echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) required or obtained.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound equipment to evaluate the heart during TTE, TEE and stress testing.
• Demonstrates proficiency in non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams and interprets results.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Uses electronic medical record to review patient information and document findings.
• On-call hours required.
