Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled echocardiography technician to perform high-quality ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels for adult patients. The role includes assisting with stress testing and coordinating with the cardiologist for interpretation of results.

The ideal candidate will be ARDMS or CCI registered within 1 year, and have BLS certification within 30 days. Relocation and sign-on bonuses are available for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year.
• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Experience accepting new grads is noted in qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels.
• Identifies EKG abnormalities and/or arrhythmia.
• Uses age-appropriate approaches and patient positioning for optimal imaging.
• Assesses cardiac structure and function, including Doppler and contrast as needed.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and selects transducers for best resolution.
• Communicates results with the cardiologist and documents findings.
