Job summary

Carle Health in the United States is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound studies, including EKG review and Doppler techniques. The role supports adult patients and participates in stress echocardiography and TEE as needed.

Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for suitable candidates. The ideal candidate has ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year, BLS within 30 days, and education in Sonography or related field.

Qualifications

• Certifications: ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year; BLS within 30 days (AHA).
• Education: Sonography or Related field.
• Work Experience: Accept New Grads.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels.
• Identify EKG abnormalities and/or arrhythmia; use Doppler and contrast when needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy, M-Mode and Doppler techniques.
• Assess blood flow, valvular function, and chamber sizes with pulsed/continuous wave Doppler.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and selects appropriate transducers for cardiac views.
• Assists with stress echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Communicates results to the cardiologist and maintains timely documentation.
