Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to provide high-quality echocardiographic imaging for adult patients. The role includes assisting with stress testing and related duties, with sign-on and relocation bonuses available for qualified candidates.

The ideal candidate holds ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year and is trained in two-dimensional and Doppler echocardiography, with BLS active per AHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels, and identifies EKG abnormalities.
• Uses age-appropriate techniques and patient positioning to obtain optimal cardiac views.
• Assesses anatomy, function, and Doppler findings; recognizes artifacts and abnormal findings.
• Evaluates left and right ventricular function and wall motion.
• Performs transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) in appropriate cases.
• Communicates results to physicians and participates in quality improvement and educational activities.
