Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced echocardiography technologist to perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound studies and assess heart and vessel function. You will utilize M-Mode, color Doppler, and pulsed Doppler to quantify valve lesions and blood flow, while preparing accurate reports for the cardiology team.

The role supports stress testing with dobutamine or exercise protocols, participates in mobile echocardiography across regions, and collaborates in continuing education and QA

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year.
• BLS within 30 days (AHA).
• Education in sonography or related field.
• New grads accepted.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels.
• Identify EKG abnormalities and arrhythmias.
• Use age-appropriate imaging techniques and patient positioning for optimal cardiac visualization.
• Apply M-Mode, color Doppler, and Doppler techniques to assess valve function and blood flow.
• Evaluate ventricular function and wall motion; recognize congenital and acquired pathologies.
• Document findings, communicate with cardiologist, and ensure QA/QC.
• Assist in transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and stress testing protocols.
• Participate in mobile echo/vascular service and callback rotations.
