Job summary

Intermountain Health in Lafayette, Colorado (Good Samaritan Hospital) seeks an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound under physician direction. This part-time role (30 hours, 3/10 shifts) is ideal for recent graduates or those new to the field, with on-call shifts.

You will support the clinical team, ensure patient safety, mentor staff on equipment use, document findings, and participate in quality improvement while advancing your skills within Intermountain Health.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, offices, caregivers, and patients.
• Prepare for exams by identifying patients, educating on procedures, and transporting patients.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and applicable charge codes.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
• Participate in quality improvement processes and educational opportunities.
• Provide education for caregivers, fellows, and students as appropriate.
