Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to support diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under physician direction. The role is designed for new grads or those with minimal experience, with a 30-hour part-time schedule at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO.

Responsibilities include exam preparation, coordinating with staff and patients, performing ultrasound studies, documenting results, and mentoring others. On-site facility with a pathway for growth and continued education.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, offices, and patients.
• Prepare for exams by identifying patients, educating them on the procedure, and transporting them.
• Perform ultrasound exams according to related protocols and in a timely manner.
• Document results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in education.
