Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech at Good Samaritan Hospital to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound exams under physician supervision. This role is designed for recent graduates or those new to the field.

This part-time position (30 hours) features 10-hour day shifts with on-call coverage, and provides mentorship to caregivers and students while delivering patient-centered care and accurate imaging.

Qualificações

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by educating patients and families about the procedure.
• Perform ultrasound exams per department protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; achieve quality outcomes.
• Identify patient needs during exams and communicate with physicians and team.
• Document exam results and other required information.
• Apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Clean and maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Coordinate repairs or supply needs through proper channels.
• Support quality improvement processes and initiatives.
• Participate in educational opportunities to maintain competence and develop skills.
• Provide education to caregivers, fellows, and students as appropriate.
