Intermountain Health seeks an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction. This full-time role is based at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital with rotations to Grand Junction’s Cardiology Clinic. You will schedule, perform, and document echocardiograms while ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

Required ARDMS/CCI certification and BLS; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. The position includes on-call duties and a 40-hour workweek with four 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• ARDMS/CCI certification for cardiac or vascular sonography required.
• Current BLS for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; degree verification may be performed.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams and coordinate with staff and patients.
• Prepare patients, educate them on procedures, and transport as needed.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes throughout the exam.
• Document results and apply correct charge codes; maintain equipment and supplies.
• Mentor caregivers and students in equipment use and technique.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities.
