Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center is seeking an Echo Technician to perform comprehensive echocardiograms including 2D, M-Mode, color Doppler, and stress echo under supervision. The role requires accurate data collection, preparation of echo worksheets, and strict adherence to universal precautions.

Applicants should have an associate degree in echo or an accredited program, and ARDMS/RDCS or equivalent, with BLS current and ACLS preferred. On-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Must have an associated degree echo program or accredited echo training program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers current (ACLS preferred).
• ACLS preferred; BLS required for Healthcare Providers.
• RDCS/ARDMS or RCS/CCI certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assures proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patient.
• Prepares echocardiographic worksheet for physicians review and interpretation.
• Supports department Quality Assurance process through accurate, timely and complete data collection.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and maintain professional relationships with staff and patients.
