Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center is seeking an echocardiography technologist to perform 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, TEE, and stress echo under cardiology supervision. On-call duties and high technical standards apply.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in echocardiography or accredited echo training, current BLS, RDCS/CCI certification, and experience with GE VIVID E95 and Epic.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred
• ACLS preferred; BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required
• Experience with GE VIVID E95, TEE probes and Epic preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Typing and computer skills preferred
• On Call required
• 1 year hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assures proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patient.
• Demonstrates understanding of universal precautions.
• Demonstrates knowledge of echo procedures and patient care processes.
• Prepares echocardiographic worksheets for physicians review and interpretation.
• Supports department quality assurance with accurate data collection.
• Completes forms/logs for billing and procedures.
