Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center is seeking an echocardiography technologist to perform 2D, M-Mode, color Doppler, and transesophageal echocardiography under supervision with high technical standards.

Requirements include an associate degree or accredited echo training, HS diploma, BLS, and RDCS/RCS credentials. On-call rotation accompanies a Mon-Fri with on-call shift schedule, with Epic and GE VIVID E95 experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association required.
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with GE VIVID E95, TEE probes and Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assures proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patient.
• Demonstrates understanding of universal precautions.
• Completes forms/records/logs accurately and maintains logs/records for procedures completed for billing.
• Prepares echocardiographic worksheet for physicians review and interpretation.
