Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center is seeking an Echo Technologist to perform 2D, M-Mode, color Doppler, and Doppler stress echocardiography with high technical standards. You will work under the supervision of the non-invasive cardiology team to ensure accurate imaging and documentation.

Requirements include an associate degree echo program or accredited training, BLS, and RDCS/ARDMS or RCS/CCI certification. On-call duties required; hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or accredited echo training program; High School Diploma/GED.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association required; ACLS preferred.
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required.
• 1 year hospital experience preferred; on-call duties required.

Responsibilities

• Assures proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patient.
• Demonstrates understanding of universal precautions.
• Demonstrates understanding of role in fire and disaster.
• Participates in mandatory programs and required education.
• Prepares echocardiographic worksheet for physicians review and interpretation.
• Supports department QA through accurate data collection and records.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and with team orientations.
• Resolves conflicts and follows chain of command to drive appropriate outcomes.
• Demonstrates proficiency in echo procedures and prioritizes STAT orders when needed.
