Job summary

Advocate Health’s Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer I–IV to provide high-quality echocardiography services across inpatient and outpatient settings, including portables, weekends, and on-call coverage as needed.

You will perform 2D/3D echocardiography, Doppler, transesophageal and stress studies, prepare preliminary reports, and help with quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of certification in Echocardiography (RDCS) within 1 year of employment.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• ARRT/ARDMS credentials maintained as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D/3D echocardiograms, Doppler, Transesophageal and Stress Echo as directed.
• Prepare preliminary reports for cardiologist review and interpretation.
• Operate and maintain echo equipment and ancillary devices; ensure calibration and safety.
• Provide echocardiography services at all necessary locations, including weekends and on-call.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain accurate records.
• Instruct students, fellows, or nurses as requested.
