Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced echocardiography technologist to perform routine and emergent studies, including 2D/3D, Doppler, TEE, and stress echo, following established protocols. You will record quality imaging data, prepare preliminary reports for cardiologists, and assist in education and quality improvement within the Echo Lab.

This role requires weekend and on-call coverage and collaboration with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Cardiac ultrasound training program preferred.
• ARRT RDMS/RDCS credential required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms as requested by physician.
• Record quality information during imaging and follow protocols.
• Explain procedures and possible side effects to patient or family.
• Provide echocardiography service across locations and on-call as needed.
• Operate equipment and maintain calibration and troubleshooting.
• Prepare preliminary reports for review by Cardiologist.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and education.
• Attend Echo Lab meetings and contribute to ongoing education.
