Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiograms and provide accurate preliminary reports for cardiologist review. The role includes rotating through multiple locations, weekend shifts, and on-call coverage as needed.

The candidate should have ARRT/ARDMS credentials in Echocardiography, ESL training, and strong communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with the health care team. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates proficiency in routine and emergency echocardiography per protocols.
• CPR/BLS certification required; registry in echocardiography within 1 year.
• Excellent communication with physicians, patients and staff; ability to teach others.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D, 3D, Doppler, Transesophageal and Stress Echocardiograms as assigned.
• Record quality information and maintain procedural documentation.
• Explain procedures and potential side effects to patients and families.
